ABOUT THE PICTURE
We planed the Dolomites trip many months ahead. We already knew that the “3 Zinnen” would be one of the highlights. But on our arrival at the parking lot it looked quite bad. It was pouring rain and I had no shelter for my bagpack.
My luggage was about 20 kilogram. Camping stove, sleeping bag, food, drinks… My other camera-bagpack was another 10 kilogram. So we hiked for about 2 hours with 30 kilogram luggage through the rain to the lodge. Luckily the weather turned out better a bit. When we arrived the sun came through the clouds. Later in the evening unfourtenatly it was still cloudy. We enjoyed a very good dinner with very good beer. We prepared at our small room and waited for better weather.
And luckily it got better…the sky cleared up an we even could photograph the milky way. After that we went to sleep until 5 am. I couldnt wait to have a look at the weather – I went to the stairwell of the lodge, watched outside – not a single cloud! I couldn´t believe! I gave the others a wake up call and we went outside. We truly enjoyed waiting for the sunrise and taking pictures.
Two hours later the sky was grey again.
The final picture is developed and color corrected with Lightroom .
